The SolarWorld No.1 Team
The SolarWorld Group began a partnership with the University of Applied Sciences Bochum, this season: students are developing and designing the new “SolarWorld No. 1” solar race car. The team will race in the colors of the SolarWorld solar group to compete with the world’s best – and of course to win!
The team consists of 50 students from the University of Applied Sciences Bochum. Grouped together in project teams, young engineers from the fields of mechatronics, mechanical and electrical engineering as well as computer science are working on the ambitious project. Full of commitment and dedication, the teams are applying the theoretical knowledge they learned during their studies in practice.
The SolarWorld No. 1 team is feeling particularly confident for the race in Australia: the “SolarWorld No.1” solar race car appears to be very competitive and the team has very good chances of being up with the best of the solar race cars.
